- Can you supply discontinued SIMATIC S5 and S7-300 parts?
- Yes — that is a large share of what we do. SIMATIC S5 has been out of production for many years, and the S7-300 and its I/O have moved into Siemens’ obsolete range, so both are sourced from surplus rather than a distribution channel. Send the MLFB order number and we will confirm the condition options, price and lead time.
- What is an MLFB number, and do I need one to get a quote?
- The MLFB is the Siemens order number printed on the module — the string beginning 6ES7, 6AV, 6SL or 6SN. It identifies the exact variant, so quoting from it is both fastest and most accurate. If you do not have it, send a photo of the module label or describe the rack and we will identify the part for you.
- Which Siemens ranges does your catalogue cover?
- SIMATIC S5 and S7 — including S7-200, S7-300, S7-400, S7-1200 and S7-1500 — plus distributed I/O, SIMATIC HMI panels, SIMATIC NET communications, SINAMICS and MICROMASTER drives, SIMODRIVE and SIMOTICS for machine tools and motors, SITOP power supplies, CNC hardware and RFID systems.
- My MICROMASTER drive failed and Siemens says it is obsolete. What are my options?
- Usually three: a like-for-like replacement from surplus, a repair of your existing unit, or a move to the SINAMICS range that superseded it. A like-for-like swap avoids re-engineering the panel and re-entering the parameter set, which is why most people start there. Tell us the drive rating and the MLFB and we will set out what is realistic.
- Are your Siemens parts genuine, and what warranty applies?
- They are Siemens-manufactured units from surplus, overstock and decommissioned plant. We are not an authorised Siemens distributor, so rather than the manufacturer’s warranty, every unit — new, refurbished or tested used — carries our own 1-year warranty and is bench-tested before it ships.
- Can you repair a Siemens drive, CPU or HMI panel?
- Often, yes. SINAMICS and SIMODRIVE drives, S5 and S7 CPUs and power supplies, and SIMATIC HMI panels are the units we see most. Send the MLFB and the fault symptoms from our Repair page and we will confirm whether it is repairable, along with turnaround and price.
- Do you supply SIMODRIVE and SIMOTICS parts for machine tools?
- Yes. SIMODRIVE drive modules, SIMOTICS motors and the CNC hardware around them are all in the catalogue. Machine-tool spares are configuration-sensitive, so send the MLFB from the unit itself and, where you have it, the machine model — the same nominal module can differ by firmware or revision.
- Can you quote a whole list for a panel refit or a spares holding?
- Yes, and it is usually the better way to buy. Send the list as a spreadsheet or paste it into a quote request with quantities, and we will come back with a line-by-line quote showing the condition options and lead time for each part, so you can see where a refurbished unit saves money and where it does not.
