If we ever do hold an authorisation from a manufacturer, we will say so expressly and name the manufacturer.

Why we use manufacturer names

Industrial automation parts are identified by manufacturer and part number — there is no other practical way to describe them. We use manufacturer names, brand names, model names and part numbers solely to identify the goods we supply, repair or buy, in good faith and descriptively. That is the only purpose for which they appear on this website.

Trade marks

All trade marks, trade names, brand names, logos, model names and part numbers referred to on this website are the property of their respective owners. Their appearance here does not imply any association with, or endorsement by, their owners. This website is not sanctioned or approved by any manufacturer or trade mark owner named on it.

Manufacturer warranties do not apply — but your rights against us do

Because we are not an authorised distributor, the original manufacturer’s warranty does not apply to the products we supply. A manufacturer may choose to deal with you directly, but we cannot promise that and you should not rely on it.

That does not leave you without protection. Every product we sell, whatever its condition, is covered by our own 1-year warranty. That warranty is in addition to — and does not replace, limit or affect — the guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded and which apply to us as your supplier regardless of what the manufacturer does.

Images on this website are used to help you identify a part. The unit supplied may differ in revision, series, hardware version, firmware version, cosmetic condition, labelling and included accessories.

Revisions and series vary

We deal in surplus and obsolete equipment. Hardware revisions, series, firmware versions, date codes and factory options vary between units carrying the same base part number.

Please verify compatibility — and when you can rely on us

Before ordering, confirm the full part number and suffix, the revision or series, the firmware version, the voltage and phase, the I/O configuration, the communications protocol, and the mounting and terminations. If a specific revision or firmware version matters, tell us before you order and we will confirm what we can supply.

If you tell us what you need the part for and rely on us to select it, we take responsibility for that selection — section 55 of the Australian Consumer Law guarantees the goods will be reasonably fit for a purpose you made known to us. Telling us the application in writing puts that beyond doubt.

Firmware and software

Firmware and embedded software in the products we supply belongs to the manufacturer or its licensors and is licensed, not sold. PLC Supply cannot and does not grant, transfer or extend any licence to that firmware or software. It is your responsibility to obtain any licence you need from the manufacturer and to comply with its terms.

We make no representation about whether a unit will arrive with firmware installed, what version it will be, or whether the manufacturer will make updates available to you.
