About this training kit

The two FX5-CCL-MS CC-Link modules are not included in this configuration.

1. Product Introduction

This training kit is an integrated practical training platform that combines Mitsubishi FX5U series PLCS, touch screens, industrial components and communication modules. By simulating real industrial control scenarios and supporting the learning and practice of multiple communication methods such as CC-Link, Ethernet, and 485, it helps users comprehensively master core skills such as PLC communication configuration, data interaction, collaborative control, and human-machine interface integration. It is an ideal practical training solution suitable for school teaching, enterprise training, and technology development.

2. Core advantages

Comprehensive coverage of communication methods

  • The CC-Link master and slave station configuration learning can be carried out through the FX-CCL-MS module, and Ethernet communication can also be achieved through the built-in network port of the PLC and the switch, meeting the diverse communication protocol learning requirements.
  • The complete communication experiment process from hardware wiring, parameter configuration to program writing is provided to help students build a systematic communication knowledge system.

Hardware simulates industrial real scenes

  • Equipped with real industrial components such as emergency stop buttons, fuses, alarm indicator lights, potentiometers, and voltmeters, it restores the electrical environment of the actual control cabinet.
  • Two Mitsubishi FX5U PLCS and GT series touch screens are adopted to form a typical architecture of "PLC-PLC" and "PLC-HMI", enabling seamless connection between learning scenarios and industrial sites.

The training functions progress step by step

  • From basic signal interaction (buttons controlling indicator lights) to analog communication (potentiometers adjusting voltage for display), and then to multi-device collaboration (12 indicator light configuration control), the difficulty of the experiment gradually increased.
  • Supports touch screen picture editing, data monitoring, animation configuration and custom pattern display, and enhances the human-machine interface and PLC joint debugging capability.

Opening up and expanding flexibly and independently

  • The hardware interface is open, allowing users to freely expand other sensors, actuators or communication modules.
  • The program framework is modularly designed, supporting secondary development and custom experimental design, and is suitable for course design, graduation design or enterprise R&D testing.

3. Learning outcomes

1. Basic communication establishment experiment

  • Bit signal interaction between the two PLCS is carried out via Ethernet /485 (such as through button mutual control indicator lights).
  • The touch screen is respectively connected to two PLCS to achieve button signal transmission and status monitoring.

2. Experiment on Analog Communication and Monitoring

  • The analog signal is input through the potentiometer (connected to PLC1), transmitted to PLC2 through communication between PLCS, driving the output of the voltmeter, and the value change is displayed in real time on the touch screen.

3. Touch Screen Configuration and Cooperative Control Experiment

  • Edit the screen on the touch screen to achieve the cyclic lighting of 12 indicator lights (belonging to two PLCS), arrow pattern display and custom pattern design.
  • Realize point-to-point control of touch screen buttons and indicator lights, and learn the unified management and data addressing of multiple PLC devices in HMI.

CC-Link communication Special experiment.

  • The CC-Link network is built using the FX-CCL-MS module, and the master and slave stations are configured to achieve point-to-point communication and data link between remote device stations.
  • Compare the differences between CC-Link and Ethernet communication in terms of configuration methods, transmission performance and applicable scenarios.

5. Industrial safety and fault simulation experiment

  • Learn the safety circuit design and alarm program logic through the emergency stop button, alarm indicator light and silencing reset circuit.
  • Simulate faults such as communication interruption and abnormal data, and conduct fault diagnosis and recovery training.

6. Comprehensive project design experiment

  • Design a small-scale automated process (such as simulated filling, assembly line indication), and comprehensively apply functions like dual PLC communication, touch screen monitoring, and analog quantity processing to complete the full-process practice from hardware configuration, program writing to debugging and operation.

4. Application scenarios

  • Vocational colleges and training institutions: Applicable to the teaching of PLC communication specialized courses, practical training week projects or skills competition training for majors such as automation, electrical engineering, and mechatronics.
  • Enterprise internal training and technical assessment: It is used for pre-job training of new employees, skill improvement of on-the-job engineers, or as a practical assessment platform for communication debugging positions.
  • Individual developers and engineers: It can be used by automation enthusiasts and engineering technicians to self-study PLC communication technology, or as a prototype verification platform for small projects.
